There Are 8 Billion Diets for 8 Billion People

If you've ever followed a diet that worked wonders for a friend and did nothing for you, you're not doing it wrong. You're just not your friend.

The myth of the one perfect diet

Every few years a new "best" diet sweeps through: low fat, low carb, paleo, vegan, keto. Each has passionate success stories, and each has people who felt worse. They can't all be universally right, because there is no universal diet. A food that's life giving for me may be the very thing that inflames you.

Bio individuality, in plain English

Your genetics, your history, your stress, your sleep, your gut bacteria, and even where you grew up all shape how your body responds to food. That's bio individuality. It's why two people can eat the same meal and have completely different energy, digestion, and blood sugar an hour later.

Start with how you feel

The most underrated diagnostic tool you own is your own attention. After a meal, do you feel energized or foggy? Light or heavy? Calm or jittery? Keeping a simple food and mood journal for a week or two often reveals patterns no lab test would think to look for.

Small experiments, not big overhauls

You don't have to overhaul your life. Pick one thing, say, a steadier breakfast, and notice what changes. Then pick the next thing. Small, doable experiments are how you learn your own body's language, one phrase at a time.

There's no one perfect diet. But there is a perfect diet for you, and it's findable. The goal isn't a label to wear. It's a way of eating that leaves you feeling genuinely well.
